We're less than 50 days from the election on November 7th. And in the last month, Republicans have really brought out their big guns for my opponent.

President Bush flew into Michigan to raise money against me. Karl Rove and Ken Mehlman dropped by to raise more money. National Republican groups like the Club for Growth are vowing to spend money here as well.

You know what all of that means... The negative attack ads are coming soon.

To combat President Bush's fundraising and his partisan attack machine, we're going to need serious funding to respond on television.

We're up on television now, but haven't raised what we need to finish the job. We need your help TODAY to complete our buy. If you could do $250, $100, $75 or whatever you can afford, by the end of the month, it would help us keep the momentum we need and keep our ads up on the air through the end. The end of September is also an important filing deadline for the campaign, and we need to raise $75,000 online by that point. So, please consider helping us with a contribution in the next ten days. We're ready to fight back against the negative attacks that are coming our way, and remind people of my positive record in the U.S. Senate... Working to protect good-paying jobs and our middle class way of life. Stopping the trash coming across our borders from Canada, despite complete inaction from the Bush administration. Fighting to bring down the cost of prescription drugs through common sense reforms like safe re-importation and increased access to cheaper generic brands. Passing the first ever bill to ban oil and gas drilling in our Great Lakes.
