It's only 42 days until the November elections and 5 days until our next filing deadline on September 30th. We know the Bush Administration will do everything they can to try and keep the Senate under Republican control.

That's why he flew into Michigan to raise money for Senator Stabenow's opponent. And just yesterday, the Vice President, Dick Cheney, flew in to raise more. Karl Rove, Ken Mehlman and Sen. Elizabeth Dole have dropped by to raise money. National Republican groups like the Club for Growth are vowing to spend money.

Right-wing activists want this seat, and are willing to spend millions trying to get it.

You know what this means, the torrent of negative ads are on the way.

We need to make sure Debbie has the resources she needs to fight back against George Bush and the right-wing extremists who are trying to pick up a Senate seat in Michigan. We are working to finalize our media buy and last week asked you to help us raise $75,000 to reach this goal. As of today, we are at $56,376. We are close, and your contribution today can help get us the rest of the way there.
