Stabenow: China violating trade rules by pressuring GM to share Chevy Volt technology

Sen. Debbie Stabenow does not think General Motors should have to share advanced technology developed for the Chevrolet Volt in order to sell the vehicle in China.
The Michigan Democrat today called on U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk to investigate a report by the New York Times indicating the Chinese government is pressuing GM to reveal core Volt technology before it can qualify for subsidies, a demand experts say may be a violation of World Trade Organization rules.
